Procurement Specialist

Remote - Grand Rapids, MI

Role and responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence and drive improvements to the procurement process
  • Review requisitions, proposals and purchase orders
  • Participate in the negotiation of contracts with vendors to ensure optimal terms and pricing
  • Create and maintain reports to aid in vendor management
  • Coordinate the RFP process, including assistance with writing, managing the timelines, collecting submitted proposals, managing the scoring process, and contacting vendors with results
  • Work with the legal and finance departments to ensure proper paperwork is in place for all vendors
  • Analyze spend for savings opportunities and to identify risks
  • Other duties as needed



  • BA with 3+ years of experience or MBA with 1+ years of experience with vendor contracts and negotiations, and RFP’s
  • Microsoft Office Skills


  • Experience with technical consulting contracts, RFP software
